What ignites your passion for music?
Creation… it’s a vibe. Truthfully it’s all I’ve ever known. I love that fact that you can conceive something in your head and manifest it through song. I love how words and music can send you on a journey to your past, present, or future. I like the freedom.. I like that there is no wrong answer
What does your personal style say about who you are?
Everything. Individuality is what make the individual. You can be a story teller without even saying a word. It’s all done through colors, lines, silhouettes, etc…its an art.
What is the biggest thing you want listeners to take away from your music?
I want listeners to step out of the box and experience my perspective on life, love, and all that’s in between. I want them to get a deeper look at the man ..not just the rumors or the image. These are my thoughts, my feelings, my art… I just want them to experience it without any preconceived reservations and have the opportunity draw their own conclusions.
If we’re sitting here a year from now celebrating what a great year it’s been for you, what did you accomplish?
First and foremost life itself is always an accomplishment especially when you spend your days and nights doing what you love…so that will surely be a reason to celebrate .. but I also want to establish the GM brand and showcase all the things I am involved in … fashion, art, teaching, etc… hell who knows you may even see me in some films.
How important is fashion to Music?
I think that it’s everything in the sense of developing your identity and sense of style..fashion is all about expression and comfortability. Ironically these two of the primary components to any form of music. How you express yourself verbally and physically will dictate how people react and/or interact with you. People call it “swag” “aura” “drip” ..it’s all the same
How would you describe you look or fashion?
“Vintage Sheek” I like to think I’d remind you somethin old, something new, something bold, something classic. Or to put it simply .. I’m just Gary Michael
